Sunstates Security is seeking a Security Account Manager to oversee operations for our client located in the Chicago/Suburban area. The Account Manager will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of a contract site, including operations, customer service, personnel oversight, and ensuring compliance with all security and safety standards in alignment with Sunstates Security objectives. The position offers a starting wage of $26/hour , depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, generous paid time off, tuition assistance, and more.

Requirements

  • Valid PERC Card preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of management experience in security, law enforcement, or military required
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Comfortable using technology and security systems
  • Strong surveillance and observational skills
  • Ability to analyze information and communicate effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience with staffing, budgeting, reporting, and scheduling
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including emergencies, special events, and additional shifts as needed
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain high standards of integrity, responsiveness, and work quality by leading through example.
  • Oversee training and development of all field personnel, including Security Officers, Shift Supervisors, and Site Supervisors, ensuring understanding and compliance with site-specific procedures and company policies.
  • Conduct weekly visits to all assigned locations to engage directly with officers, assess program effectiveness, provide training, and recommend improvements based on observations and feedback.
  • Gather and evaluate client and site feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improving service delivery.
  • Maintain a strong on-site presence and regularly interact with site leadership and staff.
  • Manage uniform distribution, returns, and inventory control.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding efforts, including interviewing, hiring, training, and completion of all required documentation and licensing.
  • Oversee daily operational tasks such as scheduling and payroll processing, which may require occasional after-hours or weekend availability.
  • Conduct routine quality assurance inspections and site evaluations to ensure service standards are consistently met.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager and site leadership to achieve organizational goals through ongoing communication and coordination.
  • Perform additional duties as needed in a dynamic operational environment.
