We are seeking a local candidate for this role, and the position is located onsite downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Travel to additional locations in north OKC and Edmond. Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm Days: Monday-Friday Extended hours as needed during the week, and occasional weekends as needed for business needs B.I.G. is looking for a dedicated person to add to the I.T. Department. This person’s primary responsibilities will be the day-to-day management and upkeep of our Physical Security Systems. This includes video Surveillance, Access Control and Alarm systems across multiple sites. This person will work with Management, Consultants and VARs to assist with the implementation, upgrade and maintenance of B.I.G. security systems. Security Systems Technician is responsible for securing a mix of manufacturing, fulfilment, and corporate facilities. The day in the life of a Security, Access Control, CCTV Technician... Collaborate with Information Technology, security, and operations team members to develop installation plans for security, access control, and VMS systems. Recommend, procure, install, maintain, and repair access control systems, surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and physical security system components. Identify opportunities to improve performance and reduce costs with physical security technology. Maintain system architecture documentation, blueprints, floor plans, SOPs, status notifications, and change management documentation. Create proposals for upgrades and improvements to physical security systems. Demonstrate the ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve security system issues. Troubleshoot and resolve network devices and connections, as well as server and computer infrastructure related to security systems. Manage VMS/NVR, access control, and alarm systems, including assigning roles, permissions, providing recommendations, and making system changes as needed. Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs to security and access control systems as necessary. Change system features and functions to meet operational needs. Replace and upgrade cameras and other security system components as required. Work with consultants, vendors, and VARs to complete security objectives and projects. Troubleshoot IP/networking equipment and run wires as needed to support physical security infrastructure. Install, operate, test, and maintain metal detectors and related equipment to ensure effective screening and workplace safety. Train personnel in the operation of security systems and metal detectors as required. Respond to and resolve security system alerts and alarms, including coordinating with emergency responders if necessary. Pull appropriate cables from head ends to end points including S/UTP, single stranded pairs, and composite cable for access control.
