About The Position

Under general supervision, patrols assigned territory to protect patrons and property. This position involves standing guard during events, touring the post periodically to ensure safety, handling disturbances, writing incident reports, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to emergencies. The role requires effective communication, crowd control, and maintaining security protocols.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Prefer previous experience in a security role.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and prepare, maintain and analyze records.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Analytical skills and decision making skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle conflicts and make common sense decisions during high tension and stress.
  • Knowledge of security and safety guidelines, laws and regulations affecting security policies.
  • Knowledge of security technology, CCTV, Door Access System, and security project implementation.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this position.

Nice To Haves

  • CLEET certification within six months of hire.
  • Licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Stand guard during events.
  • Tour post periodically to ensure safety of patrons, staff, vendors, participants, and others on site.
  • Handle any disturbances or problems that arise during an event or at the facility.
  • Escort disruptive individuals to the security office and/or off the premises if necessary.
  • Write incident reports and meet with security supervisor to review.
  • Monitor all surveillance, access control, and radio equipment contained within the facility.
  • Prioritize situations and investigate/dispatch all safety and security-related incidents.
  • Follow-up on all incidents with written reports and recommendations.
  • Answer emergency, non-emergency and administrative phone lines and provide an appropriate response.
  • Respond to emergencies and handle callouts.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently using handheld radio.
  • Inspect alarms and fire extinguishers/sprinkler systems.
  • Inspect premises for signs of intrusion or tampering.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all entities who maintain business offices on property.
  • Tour facility, examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure.
  • Assist with crowd control inside and outside of the facility.
  • Control unusual circumstances and events during emergencies.
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations.
  • Assist departments when handling large sums of high valued items.
  • Document all shipping and keep a record of all keys, radios and other facility equipment.
  • Operate Command Center at an efficient level.
  • Utilize CCTV and Access Control system to set door schedules based off building and event needs.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance and come to work in complete and clean assigned uniform.
  • Complete shift assignments including overtime if needed.
  • Project a positive and confident professional attitude.
  • Maintain the highest standards of business ethics.
