The PhaRMaTM Royalty Monetization and Securitization Capital Markets team focuses on providing secured asset based financing solutions across a number of clients and works directly with premier private capital investors. We help provide capital to Large Cap Pharma Corporations, Biotechnology, Medical Device Companies and Universities. Morgan Stanley is looking for a seasoned professional with ideally 2 - 5 years of experience in healthcare investment banking or executing securitized products transactions. The work is fast-paced, demanding and intellectually stimulating, so candidates should possess excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills and be able to work well under pressure with the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information Candidates should be adaptable, know how to prioritize, be able to manage projects independently, and be prepared to assume a high level of responsibility A positive attitude and a strong work ethic is important to being able to handle the work load Morgan Stanley's goal is to build and maintain a workforce that is diverse in experience and background but uniform in reflecting our standards of integrity and excellence. Requirements

  • Excellent modelling, writing, research, and presentation skills (e.g., proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • 2nd – 3rd year analyst or junior associate
  • Experienced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required
  • Licensed with Series 79 and 63, Series 7 optional
  • New York City based or desire to live in NYC
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills and be able to work well under pressure with the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information
  • A positive attitude and a strong work ethic is important to being able to handle the work load
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills is a must
  • A well-rounded academic background with coursework in finance, accounting or economics is recommended
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in healthcare investment banking or executing securitized products transactions

Nice To Haves

  • Securitized Products or Healthcare background preferred
