We are looking to hire a Secure Transportation Manager (STM) to join our team in the Herndon, Virginia area, where we provide transport solutions for our customers. Success in this role requires a highly organized, self-starting professional who can make timely, well-informed decisions in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the PGI Senior Vice President of Security Services. The Secure Transportation Manager will be responsible for the following:

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in security operations, logistics, transportation, or similar military operations
  • At least 2 years of operational use of any geospatial platform designed to provide real-time situational awareness, team tracking, and collaborative mapping
  • Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operational best practices
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate and make sound decisions in fast-paced and evolving environments
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)
  • Ability to travel and support multi-day operations
  • Must be available after hours and on weekends as operational needs require
  • Ability to travel domestically to customer sites or PGI locations
  • Ability to onboard with PGI to include fingerprinting and successfully complete a background investigation
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screening
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Top Secret / SCI with Polygraph

Nice To Haves

  • Ten years of experience in Military logistics, Convoy operations, Motorcade planning or similar roles in secure transport of high value assets
  • Significant experience diplomatically managing upward and downward within a defined chain of command with internal and external customers or stakeholders.
  • Two years of experience in national-level incident response protocols.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct secure transportation of equipment
  • Maintain strict control procedures
  • Monitor asset status and ensure compliance with transport requirements
  • Maintain communication with customer representatives at key milestones
  • Complete required movement documentation and custody records
  • Operate in compliance with NISPOM and customer security protocols
  • Lead transport operations from planning through final delivery
  • Supervise a Team of Movement Escorts during transport operations
  • Serve as the primary liaison with customer representatives
  • Manage operational issues and incident response during movements
