About The Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), a market leader and technology innovator, is seeking a talented Secure Data/Voice Solutions Architect to join our team, to focus on maintaining and growing GDMS' customer base and content. As a Secure Data/Voice Solutions Architect, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following tasks: Provides technical sales & marketing support for GDMS secure data & voice encryption products Identifies customers’ system needs Performs feasibility and performance studies, including benchmarking, capacity planning, etc. Develops recommendations to meet customer needs, including system configurations, installation planning, etc. Prepares and presents technical product briefs and related information to customers regarding all aspects of company products Supports requests for proposal (RFP) response preparation and submittals. Implements detailed customer installations to meet requirements Follow-up customer engagements to assess and ensure effective implementation of SNVP products. Advocates technical direction to address current and future customer needs Works with key stakeholders (engineering, BD, sales and customers) to assess potential application of company products to meet customer needs Contributes to the development of product solutions, specifications and requirements Conducts market research to determine requirements for current and future products as well as potential partner relationships products Disseminates technical information on specific applications to stakeholders. 25-50% Travel is required In addition, the successful candidate will also possess the following: Experience with secure communication networks; HAIPE, EDE, VoIP, ISDN, Analog, SCIP, SATCOM or any combination thereof. Understands networking design and principles for secure networks. Experience with the following aspects of network systems highly desired: High speed encryption IDS/IPS systems Cloud security architectures Network management tools (i.e SNMPv3, RESTCONF) Configuring and troubleshooting of call managers (e.g. Cisco, Avaya, etc.) Understands sales engineering principles and key role in achieving business objectives Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present technical and product solutions to small and large audiences Ability to think creatively, multi-task and work independently without significant direction Clearly communicates information relevant to sales engineering along with highlighting issues, impacts, and recommended corrective actions. Subject matter expert (SME) in at least one discipline of secure communications and very strong knowledge in adjacent fields.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
  • Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance with a TS preferred.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Experience with secure communication networks; HAIPE, EDE, VoIP, ISDN, Analog, SCIP, SATCOM or any combination thereof.
