In this role as Sector Manager / Senior Sector Manager for Public Safety (Fire and Law Enforcement), you will shape and drive our product strategy to address the unique needs of public safety agencies nationwide. You will lead cross-department initiatives and collaborate closely with teams across Sales, Customer Experience, Product Management, Demand Gen, and Product Marketing to deliver solutions that enhance emergency response and community protection. You will own complex projects and apply diverse skillsets—from strategy and execution to growth, retention, and operations—to deliver outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in software product management, management consulting, corporate strategy, or operations leadership at a PE-owned SaaS.
• Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus.
• Experience in the public safety, fire, or law enforcement market is valued, but not required.
• Ability to deconstruct complex challenges and convert high-level requirements into detailed, actionable projects.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a talent for conveying technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Proven track record in building cross-functional relationships and managing multi-department projects.
• Diverse skillset with hands-on experience in strategy, execution, growth, retention, and operations.
• Comfortable navigating a dynamic environment while influencing outcomes across multiple teams.
• Strong data analysis skills, including advanced use of Excel.
• Ability to distill complex information into the 'so what' and communicate information through executive-level documents (Word and PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a forward-looking product strategy tailored to the public safety domain.
• Build comprehensive business cases for new market opportunities and emerging trends in fire and law enforcement.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to ensure our offerings remain relevant and impactful.
• Forge strong relationships with internal teams, including Sales, Customer Experience, Product Management, Demand Gen, and Product Marketing, to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Take full ownership of cross-department projects from conception through implementation, driving initiatives that span strategic planning, operational execution, growth initiatives, and customer retention.
• Collaborate with fellow sector managers to design and execute integrated growth strategies across Vector's Public Sector.
• Oversee the performance of our software solutions and training programs with a focus on profitability and key performance metrics.
• Manage pricing strategies and product catalogues to drive efficiency and sustainable growth.
• Identify product enhancements that will drive greater competitive differentiation, develop business cases, and prioritize with Product Management, accounting for tradeoffs.
• Engage with external stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather critical input and ensure their insights are seamlessly incorporated into our projects and strategies.
• Translate technical and operational feedback into actionable plans that enhance product development and market positioning.
