About The Position
The Section Supervisor – ASCP Medical Technologist is accountable for day-to-day patient testing activities within one defined work area. Plans, coordinates, and directs testing activities to assure sufficient quantities of supplies, reagents, and qualified staff are available to meet the standards of care as appropriate for the age of the patients served in a cost effective manner. Works with the manager and director to assure compliance with all regulatory agencies. May be responsible for the overall activities of the laboratory in the absence of the Core Supervisor (Weekends, Holidays, 2nd /3rd shift).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree that meets CLIA requirements for testing personnel required.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a medical technologist in a clinical laboratory setting required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in assigned Clinical Lab area.
- Registered Medical Technologist (ASCP) or equivalent required.
- Washington State (DOH) Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist required if collecting blood.
