The Section Manager for Global Labeling Operations at AbbVie is responsible for leading a team of Managers and Specialists to oversee labeling operations for specific products and regions. This role involves strategic leadership in label management, packaging, and artwork strategy, as well as project management and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and efficiency in labeling processes.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5 to 10 Global Labeling Operations Managers and Specialists.
  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership for labeling programs for specific products, brands, geographic regions, or packaging sites.
  • Own Labeling Operations activities specific to shared label management strategy, packaging, and artwork strategy.
  • Manage launch project management, planning, and coordination of artwork projects.
  • Forecast and conduct periodic reviews with manufacturing and regulatory partners.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture and lead improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Report and analyze key department metrics and create plans to improve performance.
  • Coordinate and collaborate effectively with global cross-functional teams to ensure artwork availability for submissions and production.
  • Set clear team goals in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Plan resources and manage day-to-day labeling activities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Business or Supply Chain.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in Operations, Regulatory or Quality environment.
  • Demonstrated capability to work in a complex global environment with direct reports in various countries.
  • Excellent leadership and people management/development skills.
  • Proven capability to manage and implement change management programs.
  • Ability to interact successfully in a diverse global environment and with senior level management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with all levels of management and personnel.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of Regulatory, Quality and Supply Chain aspects of labeling and impact of non-compliance.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical, Device, and Combo Products.
