About The Position

Section Leads direct daily SERE training activities for Survival/Evasion (SE) and Resistance/Escape (RE) segments, ensuring compliance with all programmatic requirements. They supervise instructors, coordinate with government counterparts, and fill critical mission gaps as needed. Section Leads are pivotal in maintaining surge readiness and the continuous development and evaluation of training programs. Their guidance maximizes instructional effectiveness and student preparedness to meet MARFORSOC operational demands.

Requirements

• Possess/maintain Secret clearance
• Ability to obtain/maintain CAC/SIPR token access
• U.S. Citizenship/Residency required
• Proficient in English (verbal/written)
• Strong communication and teamwork skill
• Minimum 2 years’ leadership experience as Section Lead (SE or RE equivalent) for PR/SERE or SOF high-risk training
• Minimum 6 years’ experience as a SERE Instructor at a DoD FSLC SERE school
• Resident expert in PR/SERE instruction, including PR303, SERE350, SERE370, SERE360 or verifiable equivalent experience
• Meets all requirements for Senior PR/SERE Instructor
• Graduate of approved DoD Instructor Training/Certification Course (e.g., MIQC)
• Ability to fill in as SERE Instructor for coverage gaps
• Compliance with NAVMC 1553.2 physical standards and MARFORSOC OF-178 instructor physical standard
• Meet HRTI and OF-178 instructor physical fitness standards
• Operate in rigorous field environments and role-play scenarios
• Work extended/flexible hours including surge periods

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise assigned SERE training section and personnel
• Coordinate with government section leads and manage training schedules
• Oversee, report, and ensure adherence to all SOW and POI requirements
• Mentor, train, evaluate, and remediate instruction cadre
• Support, develop, and implement new concepts and doctrine
• Provide surge and gap coverage for all SERE instructional events
• Track and report personnel qualification progression
