With the recent addition of two new headache physicians, the department is seeking a visionary and collaborative leader to serve as Section Chief of Headache Medicine and help take this expanding program to the next level. A Leadership Role With Real Impact The Section Chief of Headache Medicine will provide strategic leadership for the section’s clinical operations, research initiatives, and educational mission. This role offers the opportunity to build upon a strong foundation while defining the future of headache care, scholarship, and training at Dartmouth Health. The Section Chief will lead a multidisciplinary team of physicians and advanced practice providers delivering state-of-the-art, patient-centered care. The section includes a UCNS-accredited Headache Medicine fellowship program, offering the Section Chief a meaningful platform to train and mentor the next generation of headache specialists while advancing innovative clinical and research programs. A Collaborative, Mission-Driven Leadership Team The Section Chief serves as the physician leader of the Headache Medicine leadership team, working closely with the Practice Manager and Nurse Manager to guide the overall direction and performance of the section. Together, this team ensures alignment with the Department of Neurology, Dartmouth Health, and the Geisel School of Medicine and fosters a culture grounded in shared purpose, mutual respect, and psychological safety. This role offers a balance of clinical practice, administrative leadership, and academic engagement, tailored to the experience and interests of the successful candidate.
