The Property Manager for Section 8 Housing Community is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a Section 8 housing property, ensuring compliance with HUD regulations, and maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment for residents. This role involves managing resident relations, administrative duties, and regulatory compliance, while also providing opportunities for professional development and career advancement.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Section 8 housing property.
  • Ensure compliance with all HUD regulations and Section 8 program requirements.
  • Process Special Claims on a monthly basis.
  • Complete EIV reports as required on all move ins and recertifications.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly.
  • Coordinate and manage resident move-ins and move-outs.
  • Organize and oversee community events to foster resident engagement and satisfaction.
  • Manage budgets, financial reports, and leasing activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of required documentation and reports.
  • Utilize property management software for efficient operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal housing regulations.
  • Stay informed about changes in Section 8 program requirements and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Coordinate with external agencies and stakeholders as necessary.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property management, with specific experience in Section 8 housing preferred.
  • Proven track record in managing residential properties and maintaining high occupancy rates.
  • Strong understanding of HUD regulations and Section 8 program requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
