About The Position

Responsible for clerical aspects that provide for an effective and efficient flow of information to and from the department. Frequent telephone and computer operations are performed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree from an accredited college preferred.
  • Minimum of one-year experience as secretary or receptionist preferred, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to respond appropriately to customer complaints necessary.
  • Must be able to use computer, desktop publishing, word processing and spreadsheet applications, fax machine, copy machine and multi-line telephone.
  • Ability to use effective interpersonal relation skills when working with a variety of people and situations
  • Ability to type for administrative, technical, and procedure related purposes.
  • Basic computer and keyboard skills required
  • Willingness to work with clinical personnel and other team members to foster a productive work environment.
