The position involves a combination of secretarial and patient care technician duties. The candidate will be responsible for various administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing call bells, operating the visitor intercom, and maintaining supply inventory. Additionally, the role includes preparing and maintaining patient charts, tracking patient flow in and out of the unit, and filing as needed, with a focus on using the EPIC system. As a Patient Care Technician, the candidate will perform tasks as directed by the RN, which include conducting EKGs, obtaining vital signs, performing glucometer testing, assisting with meals, providing transportation, disinfecting equipment, and supporting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as skin care, bathing, oral hygiene, and mobility. The ideal candidate will be flexible and patient-focused, assisting with patient care and transportation as needed.
