The position involves a variety of essential functions and responsibilities primarily focused on supporting nursing personnel and ensuring a safe and organized environment for patient care. The role includes answering telephones and patient call bells, organizing medical records, greeting visitors and physicians, and managing office supplies and forms within the unit. Additionally, the position requires assisting physicians and staff with electronic order entry, as well as providing direct patient care activities such as helping patients with activities of daily living, measuring and recording vital signs, and supporting nursing personnel in delivering care. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
