The position involves a combination of secretarial and patient care technician duties. The candidate will be responsible for various administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing call bells, handling visitor intercoms, maintaining supply inventory, ordering supplies, restocking, preparing and maintaining patient charts, and tracking patient flow in and out of the unit. Additionally, the role includes patient care responsibilities as directed by a registered nurse (RN), which may involve performing EKGs, phlebotomy, glucometer testing, assisting with meals, transporting patients, disinfecting equipment, and providing assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as skin care, bathing, oral hygiene, and mobility. The ideal candidate will be flexible and patient-focused, ready to assist with patient care and transportation as needed.
