The position involves a combination of secretarial and patient care technician duties. The candidate will be responsible for various administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing call bells, operating the visitor intercom, and maintaining supply inventory. This includes ordering and restocking supplies, preparing and maintaining patient charts, and tracking patient flow in and out of the unit. Additionally, the candidate will utilize EPIC for patient management. As a Patient Care Technician, the candidate will perform tasks as directed by the RN, which may include EKGs, phlebotomy, glucometer testing, meal assistance, transportation, disinfecting equipment, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as skin care, bathing, oral hygiene, and mobility support. The ideal candidate will be flexible and patient-focused, ready to assist with patient care and transportation as needed.
