Interacts with patients and communicates with personnel from various departments and support services as well as the public and department co-workers. Provides administrative and clerical support to the Radiology department.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephones in a courteous/professional manner and take accurate messages.
  • Facilitate smooth operation of the office with little or no supervision.
  • Maintain clerical supplies and order as necessary.
  • Greet and assist guests/customers in processing and completion of paperwork.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of computer systems including hospital EMR and PACS.
  • Maintain distribution of additional billing information and schedule appointments accurately.
  • Provide clerical support to team members for test ordering, result processing, and other administrative tasks.
  • Manage patient/data records for billing and tracking.
  • Schedule guests/customers based on physician requests and provide pre-registration instructions.
  • Ensure work area and patient waiting areas are clean and properly stocked.
  • Perform administrative duties related to scheduling, patient instructions, and record maintenance.
  • Render services and assistance to patients based on individual needs.
  • Work scheduled shifts including holidays and weekends, with overtime as needed.
  • Adhere to policies of Employee ID, Standards of Behavior, Attendance, and Punctuality.
  • Use EPIC, PACS, Teletracking System, and other computer systems as required.
  • Identify and modify care based on the needs of the patient population served.
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned.
