About The Position

We are looking for a customer service-focused Secretary for the Talent Management & Development Department at the district's Central Office. This position is available ASAP. This is a 12-month position in the Secretarial bargaining unit and is a Class 3 position (starting at approximately $26.46 per hour for 2025/2026 school year or $47,250 per year). Hours for this position are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Salary and Benefits are per contract. All interested candidates must apply online at www.milforded.org in order to be considered for this position. Requirements

  • Strong computer skills
  • Amazing customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on a team where everyone pitches in to attain results
  • Familiarity with Google docs, sheets, drive forms, and calendar
  • Experience with Google Slides

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in a school district
  • Experience with Alio financial system
  • Familiarity with Red Rover/ PowerSchool

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service to all visitors and callers to the TMD Department, supporting our administrators and employees as well as our potential employees
  • Prepares letters and reports, makes employee ID badges, fingerprints new employees
  • Plans and organizes work and works independently with minimal supervision
  • Responsible for the creation of and filing of all documents into Personnel files (electronic files)
  • Manages our automated substitute system
  • Coordinates background checks and TB screenings, submits fingerprint results to the state
  • Inputs information, runs reports on all applications of the absence management system
  • Data entry of all personnel information for all new employees
  • Prepares, pushes out and tracks all new hire onboarding paperwork (all electronic)
  • Performs various additional tasks as required/needed
