About The Position

Application Procedure: Email Resume and a Letter of Interest outlining your qualifications to: [email protected] Location: Addision High School and Middle School Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with endorsement in Science (DX) Grades 6-12, or Biology (DA) 6-12, or Integrated Science (DI) 6-12. Responsibilities: Establish and enforce classroom management procedures consistent with district, PBIS and MTSS initiatives Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstrations, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question and investigate Monitor student progress with making sense of phenomena and solving problems using the three dimensional learning: Disciplinary Core Ideas, Cross Cutting Concepts, and Science and Engineering Practices. Familiar with the The Next Generation Science Standards and other Framework-based standards. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests Attributes: Ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with students, staff, parents and district colleagues Demonstrate ability to sustain and improve student achievement outcomes Willingness to contribute to a safe school climate of high expectations and strong collaboration, high staff and student morale, and positive community involvement.

Requirements

  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with endorsement in Science (DX) Grades 6-12, or Biology (DA) 6-12, or Integrated Science (DI) 6-12.
  • Ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with students, staff, parents and district colleagues
  • Demonstrate ability to sustain and improve student achievement outcomes
  • Willingness to contribute to a safe school climate of high expectations and strong collaboration, high staff and student morale, and positive community involvement.
