Position Overview: Lead classroom instruction for grades 7, 8, or High School Science by independently identifying student needs and implementing modifications without direct supervision. Create and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that ensure students with diverse learning needs meet rigorous academic standards. Partner with general education teachers, families, and students to track progress and ensure a cohesive, high-achieving learning environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• Valid New York State Teaching Certificate in Special Education (Required)

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of experience in special education with a background in managing middle or high school classrooms (Preferred)
