About The Position

Perform VIRTUAL-only ELA and Math tutoring for K-12 students across the United States with flexible hours and higher pay than most tutoring companies. This role doesn’t require you to be in a classroom to work with students across the country. This role currently applies to teachers with experience teaching secondary math - seeking ability to teach lower-level HS math (e.g., Integrated Math 1). Tutored by Teachers seeks to close the opportunity gap and advance equity in education by supporting high needs students. Requirements

• Experience teaching Math in the classroom.
• Experience teaching in an online environment.
• Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom.
• Active teaching credential.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with remediation, intervention or small group instruction.
• Experience with secondary math.
• SPED or ELL teaching experience.
• Bi-Lingual.
• AP course experience (any APs) helpful.
• Dedication to advancing equity in schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group instruction virtually to K-12 students across the country.
• Engage in tutoring sessions that may run between fourteen to thirty weeks.
• Commit a few hours during the week for tutoring engagements.
• Log in early to start sessions and prepare light materials as needed.

Benefits

• Compensation rate of up to $36.00 per hour of tutoring plus a 10% bonus.
• Potential increase to $40 per hour for secondary math tutoring.
