PODER Academy Secondary School Math Teacher Job Description The Mission PODER Secondary is an innovative college-prep school focused on proficiency. Student scores in the core subjects exceed national and state averages. Position Summary PODER Secondary is a small-school environment where teachers track individual students and tailor instruction accordingly. There is a heavy focus on classroom management where behavior disruptions are minimized. Seeking creative minds who enjoy teaching math.
Requirements
- BA or BS degree
- Able to pass a background check

- Experience working with secondary and/or experience working with diverse students is a plus (not required)
- Multiple Certifications/Endorsements is a plus (not required)
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus (not required)
Responsibilities
- Develop lesson plans and deliver instruction
- Provide small group and individual instruction
- Provide weekly lesson plans to the Principal
- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative instruction techniques
