About The Position

The Department of Secondary, K-12, Educational Technology at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. Great work ethic, innovation, passion, experience, and a desire for continued growth are requisite for joining our dynamic team of educators. The Department is focused on the purposeful preparation of classroom teachers, curriculum developers, and instructional designers. Responsibilities include teaching classes in Secondary Education sequence such as foundations of educational psychology and philosophy, multicultural education, classroom management, planning and assessment. There may also be opportunities to supervise field experiences.

Requirements

• Master’s degree

• ABD or completed Doctorate
• Middle and/or high school teaching experience

Responsibilities

• Teach 1 - 9 credit hours per semester and be available for consultation with students.
• Deliver course content to students, preparing course materials and lesson plans.
• Grade student work and provide robust feedback in a timely manner.
• Address student questions consistent with university, college/school, and department policies.
• Provide online or in-person academic support to students as needed.
• Maintain office hours and comply with university-wide student evaluation of instruction policies.
• Adapt and learn new modes of instruction.
