About The Position

Elkhart Plastics, a Myers Industries company, is one of the largest custom rotational molding companies in the United States. The responsibility of the Assembler is to take various molded products and trim and/or assemble them into finished goods within quality and efficiency standards. The position offers two shifts: 1st Shift from 6:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with a pay of $19.00 per hour, and 2nd Shift from 4:30pm to 3:00am, Monday through Thursday, with a pay of $19.00 plus a $1.00 differential. The company provides medical, dental, vision, 401K, vacation, and paid holidays.

Requirements

• Good communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to read and write proficiently in English.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate and maintain industrial equipment.
• 1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pull and review work instructions prior to starting a job.
• Review production priorities.
• Ensure that all necessary information and tools required for each job are in place before work begins.
• Retrieve product for trimming or assembly and move to designated areas when complete.
• Finish molded product using various methods designated for the job, including the use of hand and power tools, pallet jack, hot iron, and open flame.
• Complete product labels and ensure product is identified throughout each operation.
• Responsible for final inspection of product and ensure that product is of good quality before shipping to the Customer.
• Use Reporting system to record production.
