About The Position

We seek a highly motivated and engaged Second Shift Production Supervisor to provide daily production floor supervision while achieving production targets at specified quality levels. Qualified candidates will maintain and smoothly operate a safe working environment, work with Engineering and Maintenance through a team approach to minimize machine down time. Maintaining high morale, positive attitudes, and ethical behavior among operators, and support personnel is critical as well as demonstrating self-initiative. Requirements

  • High School education
  • 3 years of production leadership experience
  • Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated team-player with good interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • PC proficient using an ERP and MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective problem analysis and problem resolution skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily production floor supervision for team-oriented production activities.
  • Deploy the production schedule for all assigned departments.
  • Ensure that material and labor resources are deployed in a manner conducive to optimal production of required finished goods.
  • Ensure that finished goods are consistently manufactured in accordance with production and quality standards and specifications.
  • Supervise, develop, and train subordinates.
  • Review and document individual job performance and attendance of department personnel.
  • Initiate and address problems and key issues in timely and diplomatic manner.
  • Follow-up to ensure resolution is achieved.
  • Promote cross-training for operational efficiency and individual advancement.
  • Maintain work areas in a safe and orderly manner through constant monitoring and proper direction of department personnel.
  • Ensure effective communication within and between shifts through use of regular standing meetings, posting of key metrics / announcements, etc.”
  • Maintain high morale among department personnel.
  • Complete all administrative assignments timely and accurately, as required.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Able to work weekday or weekend overtime as required
