About The Position

Processes parts through electroplating lines, including loading, unloading, and inspecting parts for quality, while ensuring safe chemical handling.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 3 months in a similar position.
  • Must pass appropriate testing to advance in the ABC program.
  • Long periods of standing; frequent walking.
  • Bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling required.
  • Frequent lifting of up to 30 lbs; occasionally handling small parts.
  • High finger dexterity and grip strength needed.
  • PPE includes safety glasses, gloves, and apron when handling chemicals.
  • General understanding of plating line operations and material handling.
  • Familiarity with basic chemistry concepts related to metal finishing.
  • Knowledge of equipment safety and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to follow specifications for timing, current, and part quality.
  • Ability to consistently follow plating procedures and specifications.
  • Time management for processing multiple jobs accurately.
  • Basic mechanical and manual handling skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with coworkers.
  • Physical stamina and hand coordination for plating duties.
  • Ability to lift, grip, and position small parts consistently.
  • Visual focus to detect part quality issues.
  • Multitasking in a dynamic production setting.

  • Position requires candidate to be a U.S. person as defined in ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status) and defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a) (20).

Responsibilities

  • Rack, clean, and immerse parts in plating solutions
  • Verify plating times, metals, and specifications
  • Load/unload plating barrels and visually inspect parts
  • Operate various plating lines and equipment
  • Follow safety procedures when handling chemicals
  • Maintain accurate part counts and quality checks
  • Uphold Positronic’s standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or the safety coordinator.
  • Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.
  • Work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
