Second Shift Lab Manager – Machinery Operations Dr. Tavel Optical Group is seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined Second Shift Lab Manager to lead our Machinery and Surfacing Operations. This role is responsible for overseeing the performance, efficiency, and reliability of lab equipment while ensuring production goals are met safely and accurately. This manager will work directly on the lab floor—operating machinery, monitoring throughput, addressing issues in real time, and supporting the team through hands-on leadership. Our lab is fast-paced and equipped with advanced optical manufacturing technology, making this role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of mechanical systems, computer-driven equipment, and people leadership. Optical or machinery experience is preferred but not required. We provide comprehensive training for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and leadership potential.
