About The Position

The Second Shift Avionics Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on avionics systems in accordance with Kalitta Air and FAA requirements. The technician will read and interpret maintenance instructions, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure all work is documented properly. The role requires adherence to safety rules and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

  • High school graduate; some college and/or technical school.
  • Airframe or A&P License preferred but not required.
  • Military experience is accepted.
  • Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret all maintenance instructions, such as AMMs, SRMs, WDMs, IPCs, EAs, routine task cards, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and repair discrepancies as necessary, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with approved maintenance data.
  • Ensure that all work is performed and documented in accordance with Kalitta Air and FAA requirements.
  • Document any discrepancies identified during the performance of a maintenance task.
  • Follow all Kalitta Air and FAA policies and procedures.
  • Follow all Kalitta Air safety rules and procedures, and report any identified safety-related deficiencies.
  • Keep a neat and clean work area at all times.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Lead, Supervisor or Foreman.
