About The Position

The Second Assistant Golf Professional at Salt Lake County is responsible for assisting golf professionals in various aspects of golf course operations, including program development, public relations, and fiscal management. Requirements

• Six months of experience in golf course operations under a Class A PGA professional.
• Demonstrated progress toward fulfilling the requirements for PGA certification.
• Ability to pass a required background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Assist golf professionals in program development and operations.
• Perform fiscal management and record-keeping duties.
• Plan, implement, and coordinate assigned golf course programs.
• Organize and conduct golf tournaments and association activities.
• Develop and coordinate junior golf programs, including clinics and special events.
• Promote and teach individual and group lessons.
• Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make reservations for tee-off times and collect fees.
• Enforce course rules and standards of golf etiquette.
• Monitor the pace of play and course conditions.
• Sell golf shop merchandise and complete daily cash forms.
• Evaluate course programs and facility conditions.
• Gather and report survey and customer data to division administrators.
• Supervise, train, and monitor job performance of assigned staff.
• Identify and report safety issues to management.
