Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer and 1st Engineer in operating, maintaining, and repairing vessel engineering systems.
• Support the operation of diesel propulsion and electric generating systems.
• Maintain deck hydraulic and pneumatic systems, fuel and lubrication systems, refrigeration plant, sewage treatment, and water making/desalinization systems.
• Assist with USCG manning, watch standing, and operating regulations.
• Monitor maintenance programs on all main and engineering systems.
• Maintain ship fuel and discharge logs.
• Manage spare parts inventory.
• Support all ASC policies and company philosophies.
• Attend and participate in company-sponsored and external training programs.
• Ensure compliance with Det Norske Veritas Class Society and regulatory society requirements.
