Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or three years of relevant experience in administrative, project management, legal, public safety, or grant management.
• Proficiency in technical writing and analysis skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Certification of completion of National Incident Management System Training (NIMS) IS10, IS200, IS700, and IS800 within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of general administrative emergency management duties.
• Prepare executive level correspondence and reports, including emergency management plans and updates.
• Complete all ICS forms and prepare an Incident Action Plan.
• Assist with local and regional briefings, meetings, and work groups.
• Administer the countywide Safe Room Rebate Program, requiring travel to inspect installations.
• Assist the OEM Director in coordinating emergency management programs with state and federal agencies.
• Provide emergency management training for community stakeholders and the public.
• Serve in the Emergency Operations Center during weather-related activations.
• Interact with the public in emergency or high-stress situations.
