About The Position

The SEC Reporting Manager at Meta Platforms, Inc. is responsible for overseeing external financial reporting, including the preparation and review of various SEC filings such as Form 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K. This role involves leading process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the SEC reporting process, ensuring compliance with XBRL, and supporting audit activities. The position requires collaboration with the accounting and finance departments to foster a high-performance team and involves participation in external stakeholder activities.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3 years of work experience in job offered or in a finance-related occupation.
  • 6 months of experience in preparing support schedules and footnote disclosures to support SEC filings, investor relations and/or audits.
  • Experience in researching, evaluating and documenting technical accounting conclusions.
  • Experience in researching and implementing accounting standards.
  • Experience in reviewing annual and quarterly activities with external auditors.
  • Experience in process simplification for Financial Reporting and Analysis.
  • Experience in analyzing financial results using pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUP's, HLOOKUPs, in Excel.
  • Experience in maintaining compliance with GAAP and SEC disclosure requirements.
  • Experience in educating and assisting business partners on complex technical matters.
  • Experience in developing or maintaining operational benchmarks and XBRL process.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in external financial reporting including Form 10-K's, 10-Q's, 8-Ks, Proxy, earnings releases, and internal/management reporting as required.
  • Prepare/or review quarterly financial statements.
  • Lead various process improvement initiatives in order to eliminate redundancies and improve efficiency of the SEC reporting process.
  • Ensure compliance and review of the XBRL process.
  • Support the annual audit and quarterly review activities with external auditors.
  • Support tests performed by internal and external auditors on internal controls.
  • Assist with external facing stakeholder activities such as attending accounting conferences, industry roundtables and/or standard setting working groups.
  • Partner with the accounting and finance department to create a high-performance team.
  • Conduct benchmark studies, ad-hoc projects and research on SEC or technical updates, as needed.
