About The Position

The VA Puget Sound Healthcare System is seeking a Board-Certified Director of Endocrinology & Metabolism Section to provide comprehensive patient care for veterans, focusing on endocrine disorders. This full-time position includes teaching responsibilities and oversight of daily administrative and clinical operations within the Endocrine Section. The role requires expertise in managing endocrine diseases and the ability to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.

Requirements

• Board Certification in Internal Medicine & Endocrinology.
• Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of experience in the practice of Endocrinology Disease & Disorders.
• Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S.
• Ability to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a teaching hospital setting.
• Familiarity with VA healthcare systems and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive delivery of quality patient care in Endocrinology and Metabolism.
• Manage outpatient care for all endocrine disorders, including thyroid ultrasound and biopsies.
• Oversee daily administrative and clinical operations of the Endocrine Section.
• Teach and coordinate educational activities, including planning, evaluating, and documenting.
• Perform General Medicine attending duties on inpatient wards as needed.
