About The Position

In alignment with the mission, values, and uncompromising standards of Gallaher Signature Living (GSL), the Seasons Director provides overall leadership, clinical oversight, and operational management of the Seasons team members and residents. This role ensures residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia experience a lifestyle defined by dignity, security, purposeful engagement, discretion, and exceptional personalized care. The Seasons Director is responsible for ensuring services are delivered in accordance with Title 22 regulations, physician orders, dementia care best practices, and Gallaher Signature Living’s refined service standards. Serving as both a clinical expert and program leader, the Seasons Director collaborates closely with residents, families, physicians, hospital systems, and community partners to support the cognitive, physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being of each resident. The position reflects Gallaher Signature Living’s commitment to providing a secure, structured, and hospitality-driven environment where compassionate dementia care is delivered with professionalism, warmth, and meticulous attention to detail. The Seasons Director oversees care planning, medication management systems, life enrichment programming, staff training, and regulatory compliance, ensuring excellence in both clinical outcomes and resident experience.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in good standing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Title 22 regulations and healthcare compliance in a residential care setting.
  • Specialized experience in memory care or dementia care is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with older adults with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
  • Strong clinical assessment, behavioral observation, documentation, and care coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of dementia progression, behavioral expression management, and non-pharmacological intervention strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Compassionate, patient, discreet, and service-oriented approach aligned with a boutique hospitality environment.
  • Ability to remain calm, thoughtful, and solution-focused in high-pressure or behavioral escalation situations.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.
  • Good physical health verified by required health screenings per state regulations.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly; ability to explain duties and procedures to staff.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions precisely.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all resident care services within the Memory Care neighborhood in compliance with Title 22 regulations, physician orders, and Gallaher Signature Living policies and procedures.
  • Perform nursing duties within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, including medication administration and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor residents’ cognitive and physical health status; proactively identify changes in condition and communicate promptly with physicians and healthcare professionals.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate individualized care plans tailored to residents with cognitive impairment.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and comprehensive documentation of resident care, incidents, behavioral observations, changes in condition, and required regulatory reports.
  • Maintain medical records in accordance with Title 22 documentation standards and dementia care best practices.
  • Follow Universal Precautions and infection control policies to ensure resident and staff safety.
  • Conduct daily rounds within the Seasons department to ensure safety, security, engagement, and quality of care.
  • Oversee the implementation of a structured, evidence-informed memory care program designed to promote engagement, reduce behavioral expressions, and enhance quality of life.
  • Collaborate with the Lifestyle Department to curate meaningful, sensory-based, and cognitively supportive programming tailored to residents’ abilities and life histories.
  • Ensure the environment remains secure, calming, purposeful, and supportive of residents living with dementia.
  • Promote routines that provide comfort, predictability, and opportunities for success while honoring resident dignity and individuality.
  • Provide direct leadership, supervision, guidance, and clinical oversight to Care Managers and Memory Care staff.
  • Ensure staff are properly trained in dementia care best practices, behavioral interventions, redirection techniques, and de-escalation strategies.
  • Assist with staff orientation, competency evaluations, ongoing education, and required in-service training specific to memory care.
  • Step into direct care or medication support roles as needed to maintain service excellence.
  • Foster a culture of compassion, patience, accountability, and refined service within the Seasons Care team.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Seasons / Memory Care families, providing education, guidance, and consistent communication regarding resident status and care planning.
  • Support families through the emotional journey of dementia progression with empathy, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Assist new Seasons / Memory Care residents and families with orientation, ensuring a seamless and welcoming transition into the community.
  • Participate in care conferences and ongoing family meetings.
  • Serve as a professional liaison with physicians, hospitals, discharge planners, pharmacies, dental providers, state agencies, and community healthcare partners.
  • Partner with the Executive Director and Health & Wellness Director (if applicable) on physician orders, pharmacy coordination, and medication management systems, including central medication storage and delivery.
  • Promote consistent use of communication tools, including shift reports and communication logs, to ensure continuity of care.
  • Ensure Seasons / Memory Care operations remain compliant with Title 22, the Nurse Practice Act, and all applicable state and local regulations.
  • Respond promptly to residents and staff needs; carry required communication devices while on property.
  • Conduct safety checks and environmental rounds to maintain a secure and impeccably maintained neighborhood.
  • Support community marketing efforts by representing Gallaher Signature Living with poise and professionalism during tours and public interactions.
  • Uphold the refined image of Gallaher Signature Living through professional appearance, conduct, and communication.
  • Other duties as assigned.
