About The Position

As a Store Associate at Michaels in Willowbrook, IL, you will deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping our store, and help them find what they’re looking for. Your role will ensure that all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience. You will be responsible for completing truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store, maintaining store recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises. You will help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions, while also executing cash handling to standards. Engaging customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, you will complete enrollments and educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey. Additionally, you will assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).

Requirements

  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store, including regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in shopping the store.
  • Ensure a fast and friendly checkout experience and execute cash handling to standards.
  • Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, completing enrollments.
  • Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, including the merchandise return/go back process and general store recovery.
  • Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner, promoting commitment to the organization’s vision and values.
  • Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production.
