Applications will be reviewed in batches based on the date the application was submitted. Position Objective To provide security and enforcement patrol of area lakes, rivers and county parks. This position is responsible for promoting the safety and well-being of all users of the parks, trails, and waterways through public relations, education and enforcement of local ordinances and statutes.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age or will be by April 2026
- Possess a valid Minnesota Driver's License
- Available to work weekends and holidays
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
Nice To Haves
- Recent first aid training within the past two years
- Current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification within the past two years
- Experience with watercraft loading, unloading and operating
- Experience providing security and/or enforcement of rules
- Experience as a law enforcement explorer or reserve police officer and Successfully completed or currently enrolled in a law enforcement program
Responsibilities
- Patrols area lakes and rivers in water patrol watercraft.
- Transports watercraft and tow vehicle between area lakes and rivers.
- Patrols County parks and trails on foot, bike, ATV or vehicle.
- Presents educational talks and classes to the public.
- Provides maintenance of boats, bicycles, ATV's and vehicles.
- Completes reports and citations.
- Attends work in a regular and timely manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
