About The Position

The Anoka County Parks mission is to positively impact the quality of life in Anoka County by providing parks, outdoor recreation, and leisure services for the public. Our mission encompasses the protection of the natural environment, improving the health of citizens, and supporting a strong local economy. The department has an immediate opening for Seasonal Water Park Maintenance Worker who will perform various duties. Some of the critical responsibilities of this position include portraying a positive and professional image of the county to the public, specifically Bunker Beach guests, while performing maintenance duties. This is a seasonal, non-exempt, on-site position. Interviews will take place as applications are received for those selected to move forward in the hiring process.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age or older by date of application.
Successfully pass a criminal history background check.

Nice To Haves

Previous customer service or public relations experience.
Previous maintenance experience.
Previous lawn care/landscaping experience.
Ability to prioritize workloads based on urgency.

Responsibilities

Portray a positive and professional image of the county to the public, specifically Bunker Beach guests, while performing maintenance duties.
Perform a variety of janitorial, maintenance and lawn care duties while keeping a positive attitude.
Operation of small equipment including golf carts, lawnmowers/trimmers, power washers, leaf blowers, and small tools.
Ensure the facility is clean and safe both indoors and outdoors.
Safely and responsibly use cleaning supplies throughout the facility.
Use all safety procedures and safety equipment when performing duties.
Communicate with the public.
Answer questions and assist guests.
