About The Position
The Anoka County Parks mission is as a department of Anoka County, our mission is to positively impact the quality of life in Anoka County by providing parks, outdoor recreation, and leisure services for the public. Our mission encompasses the protection of the natural environment, improving the health of citizens, and supporting a strong local economy. The department has an immediate opening for Seasonal Visitor Center Attendant who will perform various duties. Some of the critical responsibilities of this position include providing excellent customer service to park users by ensuring communication is carried out in a polite, professional, and efficient manner. This is a seasonal, non-exempt, on-site position. Interviews will take place as applications are received for those selected to move forward in the hiring process.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age or older by date of application.
- Successfully pass a criminal history background check.
Nice To Haves
- Previous campground/hospitality experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in customer service and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to park users by ensuring communication is carried out in a polite, professional, and efficient manner.
- Operate point of sale and reservation systems to assist customers.
- Enforce Park policies as directed in a respectful and consistent manner.
- Mediate and resolve customer complaints or concerns.
- Arm and disarm the building security system as needed.
- Communicate via various technology (phone, computer, radio device).
- Balance monitoring, ordinance advisement, and answering park questions/requests or concerns.
