About The Position

This position functions as a general assist to operations and will be cross trained to operate dry side and Rekers machines, forklift, tumbler, and perform quality control tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least 1 year of experience
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Ability to perform basic math skills accurately
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.
• Requires often lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, twisting, sitting, standing, climbing, reaching
• Ability to safely climb stairs and ladders while maintaining 3 points of contact at all times

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner
• Assist in prepping shipment by weighing, wrapping, palletizing and labeling
• Verify production counts on pallets
• Unload inbound freight from trailers at receiving dock
• Complete all necessary paperwork in an accurate manner
• Move trash and metal scrap to outside dumpsters
• Move material to and from machines
• Move production work in process between operations
• Move finished product to warehouse
• Occasional production handwork, as needed
