About The Position

The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture. Under general direction, this role performs a variety of job responsibilities which may include delivery of fertilizer and chemical products to customers from the Unit office, equipment and plant operations. Simplot Grower Solutions is looking to fill a seasonal Truck Driver/Warehouse position. Full-time, temporary, position with full benefits and the opportunity for substantial over-time hours. The primary responsibility is to operate trucks, deliver fertilizer and chemicals and assist with plant operations.

Requirements

• Must hold and maintain a Class A or B CDL and appropriate driving record
• HazMat Endorsement preferred
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be willing and able to work Ag Industry Hours: overtime and weekends to meet seasonal demands
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job

Nice To Haves

• Truck driving experience preferred
• Knowledge of local rural geography is a plus
• Knowledge of farm operations is a plus

Responsibilities

• Operate fertilizer truck, fill application equipment, and support plant operations as needed
• May assist with recordkeeping related to warehouse/inventory responsibilities
• Maintain and keep trucks clean
• Perform varied responsibilities such as: equipment and plant maintenance including welding, pump and engine overhauls, painting, and general housekeeping responsibilities
• Loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers
• Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, providing back-up when needed, etc.
