About The Position

This position provides safe, reliable, and professional trolley and company van service for special occasions, events, catering, weekly grocery runs, and other transportation needs at Canterbury Park. The role requires flexibility, excellent customer service, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all guests. Responsible for supporting the Company’s mission, vision, and values by providing an unparalleled experience of fun and entertainment.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid Class C commercial driver’s license with passenger and air break endorsement
  • Ability to interact with guests and co-workers in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to pass Canterbury Park’s pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check, verification of work history, Drug Screening, and Canterbury Park Safe Driving Policy.
  • Must be able to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license.

  • Previous driving and customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Leads by example
  • Responsible for maintaining a high degree of hospitality, as well as a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Creates high levels of morale, fosters teamwork, and inspires collaboration.
  • Safely operate the trolley and company van for various events, special occasions, general transportation needs, and weekly grocery runs, ensuring all guests are welcomed in a clean, professional, and safe environment
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of assigned vehicles, including sweeping and cleaning prior to initial departure
  • Complete daily logs, paperwork, and reports as required
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or damage to vehicles or property immediately, and communicate repair or maintenance needs to the Guest Services Supervisor or Vehicle Shop Supervisor
  • Respond to on-call assignments as scheduled, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism for all types of events and special occasions
  • Assist guests as needed with boarding, unloading, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections, including checking fuel, oil, and other basic maintenance items, to ensure vehicles are in safe operating condition
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
