About The Position

The Seasonal Trades Worker supports the Facilities Management team by assisting skilled trades staff with maintenance, repairs, and construction tasks with buildings, structures, and outdoor amenities. This role offers direct experience in a variety of trades while helping ensure facilities remain functional and well maintained. What You'll Do Assist tradespeople with painting, carpentry, excavation, masonry, signage installation, and structural repairs involving fences, bridges, and other infrastructure. Operate hand and power tools including hammers, saws, shovels, brushes, and drills. Drive District vehicles such as vans, pickup trucks, and ATVs to transport tools and materials. Maintain organization and cleanliness within the Facilities Management shop. Load and unload equipment and materials from District vehicles. Perform basic landscape maintenance using mowers, string trimmers, and hand tools. Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older at time of hire.
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing.
  • Proficiency with basic hand tools and common power tools.
  • Familiarity with safety practices and personal protective equipment used in trade work.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous equipment and tool use experience in a trade, construction, or maintenance role preferred.
