Seasonal Temporary Public Works Technician
About The Position
The following duties are typical for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Employees must perform work in a manner consistent with and exemplary per the Town of Severance's core values of TOWN PRIDE philosophies and the Town's Equal Opportunity Employment policy. Work in and around underground utilities. Manual digging and excavating. Maintain parks and park facilities, performing necessary landscaping, weeding, and groundskeeping work. Upkeep and cleaning of all Town facilities and restrooms. Make repairs to and maintains Town buildings; perform janitorial work; set up for meetings; move furniture. Set up street barricades for special events, clean litter, and maintain trash receptables and paint curbs. Assist other maintenance employees in performing repairs/maintenance of streets and park facilities. Clean clogged storm drain basins. Clean and maintain equipment used in the course of work. Follow all safety policies of the Public Works Department. Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Colorado driver's License and have an acceptable driving record.
- Must comply with organizational and departmental policies.
Nice To Haves
- One-year general public works and maintenance experience preferred
- Previous municipal government experience is desirable
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience
