About The Position

Fast-growing, dynamic, public event center is looking for Seasonal Team Members to support upcoming events including the Lancaster County Super Fair, National High School Finals Rodeo, and other high- profile expos. With 400,000 square feet of multi-use spaces on 160 acres, Sandhills Global Event Center (SGEC) has grown into one of Nebraska’s premier destinations for regional, national, and international events. It now proudly hosts over 500+ event days annually, drawing over 564,000 visitor days each year, and generating up to $72 million in economic impact through out-of-county visitor spending. Home to the second-largest indoor agricultural show in the U.S. and the largest rodeo in the world, SGEC has earned a national reputation as a top-tier venue. With expert staff and stewardship from the Lancaster County Agricultural Society, SGEC continues to serve the community and drive economic impact through a diverse and ever-growing lineup of events. Our mission is to share experiences that showcase the agricultural nature of Lancaster County and to be a major contributor to the county’s youth, culture, and economy. SGEC provides a safe and fun environment for families all year. However, we are especially focused on our youth and their families during Super Fair week and the National High School Finals Rodeo. Seasonal Team Members are jack of all trades rockstars aiding in many different departments based on event needs. Seasonal Team Members support our Food and Beverage Team, Ticketing and Admissions Team, Parking Team, and Cleaning Team to ensure top tier execution of events across the SGEC campus.

Requirements

Like working as a team or independently as needed
Commit to 4-hour or 8-hour shifts
Shifts needed will include daytime and evening hours as well as week and weekend
Enjoy making new friends
Both indoor and outdoor opportunities available
Have a friendly personality
Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
Prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, using step stool.
Work in indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions.
Ability to wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety protocols.
Clean shirt, NO LOGOS, T-Shirt will be provided while supply lasts
Comfortable, closed-toed shoes are REQUIRED.
Dark pants or jeans preferred, in good condition (no fray or holes)
Hat and/or sunglasses, sunscreen, if working outside.

Winter coat and attire if working parking outside
