We are seeking a full-time Seasonal Tax Preparer to support our Mineola, NY tax office for preparation of individual and state income tax returns for the upcoming 2026 tax season. The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 - $30.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Three to five years of professional experience preparing tax returns.
- Strong accuracy, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Nice To Haves
- CPA or Enrolled Agent designation preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct client interviews to understand financial situations and collect necessary documentation.
- Review client-provided financial data for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare individual and business income tax returns using UltraTax software.
- Research and respond to client inquiries on tax-related matters.
- Identify opportunities to assist clients by recommending additional firm services.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
