About The Position

Brighton Securities is seeking part-time Seasonal Tax Preparers for the 2024 tax season. The role involves preparing and reviewing various tax returns while working collaboratively with a team. The Tax Preparer will report to the Manager of Tax Services and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of tax returns and maintaining confidentiality of client information.

Requirements

• Associate degree in applicable field.
• Prior experience with tax preparation preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of individual, business, and fiduciary income tax returns.
• Knowledge and initiative to improve inefficiencies, propose solutions to problems, and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review personal, business, and fiduciary tax returns.
• Act as quality control by reviewing tax returns for accuracy and referring complicated returns to the Manager of Tax Services as appropriate.
• Gather and organize client data.
• Support the Manager of Tax Services by tracking progress on returns and researching assigned tax issues.
• Protect operations by keeping information confidential.
• Perform ad hoc projects and responsibilities as needed.
