About The Position

This position is anticipated to last from mid-April to the end of August. Applicants must be available to work 40 hours per week during this timeframe, with occasional approved time off. General Statement of Duties This non-exempt, non-benefited, temporary position performs general miscellaneous and unskilled tasks within the Water Resources Department. Supervision Received Works under general supervision of the Water& Distribution Lead Operator and Water & Distribution Supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid drivers license with a Motor Vehicle Record acceptable to the District's insurance company.

Responsibilities

• Flushing fire hydrants: This critical task ensures optimal performance and maintains the integrity of the system.
• Painting and maintaining fire hydrants: Ensure hydrants are easily identifiable and in good condition.
• Supporting the valve exercising program and maintenance: Ensure the efficient and reliable operation of our systems.
• ArcGIS field logging and corrections: Perform field logging and make necessary corrections using ArcGIS.
• Cleaning well houses and other buildings: Maintain cleanliness and order in all facilities.
• Performing routine clean-up and housekeeping: Ensure work areas and equipment are kept in excellent condition.
• Administrative tasks: Organize and manage documents efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned: Be prepared to undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
