A Streetlight Maintenance Worker performs a variety of labor and semi-skilled maintenance tasks, including operating equipment related to traffic signs, traffic signals, and streetlight maintenance. This position also includes routine maintenance responsibilities for assigned equipment. Work is performed under the supervision of the Streetlight Supervisor. We’re looking for someone who is team-oriented, works well with others on a crew, can complete a variety of general labor tasks, and can follow directions and safety procedures. Seasonal Employment Information Seasonal employees are hired for one season of the year to perform seasonal work (e.g., outdoor lifeguard, mowing). Seasonal employees may not work more than six (6) months within a twelve (12)-month period. Seasonal employees receive legally required benefits (e.g., Social Security and workers’ compensation), but are not eligible for the City of Olathe’s health plan or other benefits, including KPERS. Pay, Schedule, and Job Length Pay: $19.75/hour Schedule: 40 hours per week Job Length: Up to six months
