The Stagehand role at Enchant is a crucial position that supports the successful execution of events at the Dallas Choctaw Stadium. As a representative of the Enchant team, the stagehand will be involved in various aspects of event logistics, including construction, decor, signage, and lighting. This position requires a commitment to work during the busy holiday season, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. The role may also involve working during the Run of Show on an as-needed basis, providing flexibility and opportunities for additional hours. Stagehands will be assigned to different teams and will work under the guidance of the Head of Department. Daily responsibilities include attending standup meetings to discuss tasks and safety procedures, following protocols for acquiring tools and supplies, and supporting the Team Lead in completing assigned tasks. It is essential for stagehands to ensure that all assets and structures are installed safely and correctly, as well as assisting with various onsite tasks related to logistics, construction, decor, signage, and lighting. Candidates for this position should have at least six months of experience in the entertainment industry or equivalent experience as a loader or stagehand. A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the ability to take direction with minimal supervision are key attributes for success in this role. Additionally, candidates should possess a positive attitude and be able to use hand and power tools effectively. Physical requirements include the ability to lift objects over 40 lbs, ascend and descend heights of up to 6 feet, and stand or walk for extended periods, as the work environment is outdoors and subject to winter weather conditions.
